On Monday 4 August at 8pm local time, 1pm CEST, the Daegu Stadium will be the venue for the first ever meeting between Barça and Daegu FC. The contest will be the final game of the blaurganes' three matches during their 2025 Asian Tour.
A look at Daegu FC
The team nicknamed the 'Sky Blues' due to the colour of their kit possess talent in the form of their captain, the Brazilian Cesinha. Other members of the squad such as striker Edgar and midfielder Bruno Lamas also bring experience to the squad. Daegu FC won the South Korean Cup in 2018, earning themselves a place in the AFC Champions League in 2019. However, in recent seasons they have been involved in several relegation battles in the K League although they managed to avoid the drop on each occasion. The South Koreans will be looking for a strong pre-season to aim for an improved performance in 2025/26.
Special evening in Daegu
The game will be the final one of the 2025 Asian Tour for the blaugranes after matches against Vissel Kobe and FC Seoul. The fixtures will be a great opportunity for the fans in the South Korean city to create a festive atmosphere in the Daegu Stadium which holds 12,419 spectators.
