Last night, as part of FC Barcelona's official trip to Germany for the UEFA Champions League quarter-final match against Borussia Dortmund, President Joan Laporta attended an institutional event promoting Girona Excel·lent, held in the city of Dortmund.
The event, sponsored by the Girona Provincial Council and the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board, took place at 8:00 p.m. and was attended by Miquel Noguer, President of the Provincial Council, who presided over the event and thanked FC Barcelona for its support in promoting the Girona region internationally.
In addition to President Laporta, the event also included the participation of Antonio Escudero, Vice President of the Social Area of FC Barcelona, who is also a member of the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board, as well as the other members of the Board of Directors who are part of the delegation traveling to Dortmund.
During the event, the tourism and gastronomic offerings of the Girona regions were highlighted, and attendees were able to taste a selection of products distinguished with the Girona Excel·lent seal.
This agri-food quality seal recognizes the best products made entirely in the Girona regions, selected through blind tastings conducted by prestigious chefs, winemakers, and food critics.
With his presence at the event, President Joan Laporta strengthened the Club's commitment to promoting the region and to initiatives that boost the international reach of Catalonia and its regions through the shared values of quality, identity, and excellence.
