FC Barcelona received some eagerly awaited news on Thursday: the Barcelona City Council's Government Committee approved the modification of the activities and works license that should allow the team and fans to gradually return to Spotify Camp Nou. This is a fundamental administrative milestone just one month before the Joan Gamper Trophy, scheduled for Sunday, August 10.

This initial approval, which is the first step towards obtaining the first occupancy license, comes after the Club submitted all the necessary documentation ahead of schedule and means that a new license has been obtained that is adapted to the current phases of the stadium's construction. The modification includes two phases: the first for a capacity of up to 62,000 spectators and the second, which will reach 105,000 once all the work has been completed.

Barça, in close collaboration with municipal technicians and the fire department, continues to work to ensure that all safety, accessibility, and service requirements are met. The Club has already planned a drill to validate access flows and the use of facilities such as changing rooms, restrooms, and press areas, without the presence of spectators.

With this license approval, the Club takes a decisive step towards returning to its stadium, a milestone steeped in symbolism. The gradual return to Spotify Camp Nou will not only be a matter of construction work and permits, but also a moment of reunion between the team, the fans, and the stage that gives meaning to it all: coming home.
