Barça Activa't in Saint-Louis
Participation and personal growth of children and young people
Adapted to the context of Saint-Louis, Senegal, this project promotes the participation and personal development of children and young people aged 10 to 16 in one of the city's most vulnerable neighbourhoods, located in the Langue de Barbarie area, through socio-educational sport, educational activities and community-based initiatives.
The project is implemented in a public school within the neighbourhood, where children and young people have access to a safe space in which to grow, learn and actively participate in community life. The initiative places a special focus on gender equality and environmental sustainability in the face of climate change challenges. One of its main pillars is the improvement of public spaces, led by the young participants themselves through community actions aimed at building a more inclusive, safe and sustainable neighbourhood.
The project is implemented by the Senegalese organisation HAHATAY, Sonrisas de Gandiol, with the technical support of the FC Barcelona Foundation and funding from the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB).
ASSOCIATION LVES
Social inclusion through access to health and education
