Chief Compliance Officer and other bodies responsible for Regulatory Compliance
The Barça Foundation’s Compliance officer works to ensure compliance with regulations, which means not only knowing and respecting the Code of Ethics and Conduct, but also other internal regulations brought forth by the Foundation to ensure compliance with the various applicable laws in force.
In this mission, the Foundation has different responsible bodies such as the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Committee and the Control and Transparency Commission.
The Foundation’s Chief Compliance Officer is a figure with his/her own powers of autonomy and independence, who knows how the Foundation works, its culture and its activities, and is thus able to detect and solve actions that may be contrary to the laws and internal regulations. Among other functions, the Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for processing and monitoring complaints received through the Regulatory and Ethical Compliance Channel.
At the same time, the Chief Compliance Officer performs his/her duties on the basis of the principles of proportionality and authority, so that his/her actions will always be proportionate to the risks to which the Foundation is exposed and his/her opinions and recommendations are relevant for the governing bodies.
Remember that you can contact the Chief Compliance Officer at compliance@fcbarcelona.cat to report any kind of irregularity that might contravene the Foundation’s ethical or legal values.
