Barça Foundation in New York FC Barcelona and the Barca Foundation are guided by the principle of being “More than a Club,” “Mes que un Club.” This informs our foundation work around the world, and most recently our work in the United States. Since 2017 we have partnered with the NYC Department of Education, offering our programs in NYC public schools. The program uses sports as a tool for the social inclusion of vulnerable children. Due to its success, we are now in 16 NYC public schools in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx, reaching 850 students, nearly half of them with special needs and/or disabilities, and nearly all living in underserved areas. To accompany us on this project, the Barca Foundation counts on the support of club partner, Thom Browne, who is committed to the Foundation and to the city which they call home.
