An FC Barcelona delegation, led by its president Sandro Rosell, is travelling to New York next week for a series of meetings with representatives of some of the organisations that work with the FC Barcelona Foundation on a variety of social projects.
The main aims of the trip are to continue forging links with these entities, to study new ideas for joint ventures and to raise awareness of the social and charity work being done by the Foundation on occasion of the United Nations General Assembly that will be held next week in New York.
The scheduled agenda is as follows (New York time):
- Tuesday, 25 September:
18.00. Meeting with Luis Alberto Moreno, president of the Inter-American Development Bank (BID).
20.30. Visit to the Penya Blaugrana de Nova York.
- Wednesday, 26 September:
9.00. Meeting with Anthony Lake, executive manager of Unicef.
16.30. Meeting with Bill Gates, founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
18:30. Meeting with Rafa Márquez, founder of Rafa Márquez Foundation.
- Thursday, 27 September:
12.30. Participation in session on poliomyelitis at the United Nations General Assembly.
The institutional party representing FC Barcelona in New York will consist of president Sandro Rosell and directors Javier Faus and Ramon Pont.
