The president of the Leo Messi Foundation in Spain, Rodrigo Messi, the a patron of the FC Barcelona Foundation, Jordi Bellmunt, and the director of the Ánima Foundation, Marina Sanmartín, visited the pediatric clinics of the Hospital Universitario Germans Trias i Pujol. All three of these organisations are responsible for the remodeling and expansion of the Hospital’s pediatric ward - since the beginning of the calendar year the capacity of the ward has been increased and the space is more comfortable for the children.

Representatives of the three organisations were able to personally see the impact of the renovations. The ward now has ten service points, three more than in December. Furthermore, now all the pediatricians can attend to their patients in the same space - last year the Dietary and Nutrition and the Diabetic Pediatric Education doctors had treat their patients in a different ward.

10,000 visits

This, coupled with the significant increase in comfort and a 25% increase in scheduled annual visits (from 20,000 to 25,000), strengthens the role of Hospital Germans Tiras as leading public center and high complexity institution in Barcelonès Nord and Maresme. In fact, the new services at the Hospital have registered 10,000 visits in the first five months of the calendar year.

During the visit, the representatives of the Leo Messi, FC Barcelona and Ánima foundations were accompanied by the district manager of the Catalan Institute of Health.
