LEBANON
Create links between populations of different cultural origins
Lebanon is one of the countries hosting the largest number of Syrian refugees. Informal refugee camps abound in the Bekaa Valley, located on the border with Syria. The Foundation has been present there with programs that seek, through physical activity and sport, to promote physical and emotional well-being and peaceful relations between populations of different cultural origins in order to eradicate stigma and prejudice.
Physical education departments have also been strengthened in public schools around the country using the FutbolNet methodology with the aim of improving the class structure and teaching skills so as to promote education in values for girls, boys and young people through physical education and sport.
