Improve the well-doing of children in hospitals

A project in collaboration with the leading hospitals in Catalonia

The project aims to improve the well-being of children in hospitals and day centre by boosting their positive emotions.

This is a project aimed mainly at the six leading hospitals in Catalonia with which the Foundation has an agreement: Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, Hospital Vall d'Hebron, Hospital Sant Pau, Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, Hospital Parc Taulí in Sabadell and Barcelona Children's Hospital.

The project includes a series of actions that are defined with each hospital according to its needs.

A small but big gesture to put illness in the background

The "Christmas is all year" project consists of visits by professional athletes from FC Barcelona, and aims to improve the time in hospital for about two thousand children a year. In addition to the Christmas visits, the players from the men's and women's teams, Barça B, and professional basketball, roller hockey, handball and futsal teams spend time in hospital with these children at other times of the year.

Magic Memories takes the Camp Nou to hospitals

This project, the outcome of the Barça Foundation’s partnership with the company Magic Memories, consists of taking a photograph with a chroma and photoshop with the first team footballer, which the children keep as a souvenir. While the boys and girls are waiting a personalized booklet to be printed, they get to enjoy a virtual tour of the Camp Nou using 3D glasses. This action is run thanks to the voluntary support of Magic Memories employees.

Relive the excitement of when the first team players last visited hospitals 100% of the medical team believes that the project helps children to experience of positive feelings and emotions.
