FutbolNet is a methodology for social intervention created by the Barça Foundation in 2011. The methodology uses soccer and other sports-related activities as tools for reflection and agents of change to improve the life of children and young people who are in vulnerable contexts

FutbolNet Sessions

Each session works on a value which the participants have to put into practice in the best possible way through sports games and football match. To help, the activity features plenty of time for reflection and the games are divided into three parts:

1st Part:
Players discuss autonomously and agree to the rules of play. For example, if anyone shows a lack of respect, a penalty is awarded
2nd Part:
A 15-minute football game is played, where the children develop their capacity to inter-relate. The teachers help them to learn to take responsibility for their actions
3rd Part
Critical post-game discussion among participants to assess the game and decide who has won based on behaviour and the application of the value in question

The beneficiaries are boys and girls from 8 to 21 years from all around the world, selected by vulnerability criteria
